Lisa Mainiero PhotoLisa A. Mainiero earned an A.B. degree in psychology from Smith College, an M.A. and M. Phil. in Administrative Sciences from Yale University, and a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from Yale University in 1983. She is a Full Professor of Management at the Charles F. Dolan School of Business, Fairfield University, in Fairfield, Connecticut.
Dr. Mainiero has published several papers in journals such as Administrative Science Quarterly, the Academy of Management Review, the Academy of Management Executive, Group and Organization Management, the Journal of Management, Organizational Dynamics, and Harvard Business Review.

She is the author of Office Romance and has become a sought-after lecturer and consultant, with appearances on Good Morning America, the Oprah Winfrey Show, CNN Newsnight with Aaron Brown, Good Day New York, Larry King, and numerous other radio, television, and talk-show programs. Dr. Mainiero is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and has been as an invited key speaker at the Academy of Management National Conference in the Women in Management Division, Harvard Business School Organizational Behavior Doctoral Colloquium Series, the Yale University School of Organization and Management Doctoral Colloquium Series, and the National Council for Savings Institutions Human Resources Conference. She was elected as Program Chair for the Women In Management Division of the National Academy of Management and became the first Chair of the Gender and Diversity in Organization Division of the Academy of Management. She also has served as Secretary and Proceedings Editor for the Eastern Academy of Management. Sherry SullivanSherry E. Sullivan earned her Ph.D. from The Ohio State University. She is currently a tenured Associate Professor at Bowling Green State University, Director of the Small Business Institute, and is formerly of Memphis State University where she was an assistant and tenured Associate Professor. She has published in journals including: Journal of Management, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Vocational Behavior, Group and Organization Management, and Academy of Management Executive. She was Division Chair, Program Chair, and newsletter editor for the Academy of Management's Career Division, served on the Gender and Diversity in Organizations (GDO) Board, twice served on the Board of Southern Management Association, served as Secretary and Track Chair for Entrepreneurship/Small Business/Consulting for the Southwest Academy, served as Secretary, Program Chair, and Division Chair of the International Division of the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship, and served as Treasurer and Human Resource Management/Careers/Organizational Development Track Chair for Midwest Academy. She is the recipient of the Academy of Management’s GDO Division Janet Chusmir Outstanding Service Award and a Fellow of Southern Management Association. She is co-editor (with Yehuda Baruch and Hazlon Schepmyer) of Winning Reviews: A Guide for Evaluating Scholarly Writing (Palgrave, 2006).
